Is Keto Coffee a new trend?
Having butter in a hot beverage is a tradition from the Himalayan regions of Tibet, India, Nepal and Bhutan. The drink known as ja srub ma (churned tea) in Tibetan, is made from yak butter, tea leaves, water and salt. Dave Asprey, Executive of Bulletproof, and bio hacker tried this butter infused tea while trekking in Tibet and found it very rejuvenating. Being inspired by the drink, he later on came up with a concoction of buttered coffee that became known as Bulletproof Coffee. He is perhaps known for introducing the buttered hot beverage to a wider audience.
